Weber & Schaer GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its portfolio of sustainable products. Thanks to collaborative work with Q&C Quechen Silicon Chemical, the Tire Technology Expo in Hanover will see the presentation of Rhasil® – a new, sustainable, bio-based range of products. Rhasil® technology makes possible the manufacture of silicas from a renewable raw material – the rice husks left from the production of rice – using existing production processes. The quality and performance of this sustainable filler are identical to the product quality for which classically produced silicas are known. There’s no competition with the food and animal feed industries for this raw material, and the recycled process heat also gives the product a positive energy footprint.
