Established in 1844 in Hamburg as a family-owned trading house, the Weber & Schaer Group now has more than 100 employees. Although our headquarters have remained true to our traditional hanseatic home, the company has long since been operating a well-established network across Europe.Our respective subsidiaries bring together a wide range of expertise under the collective umbrella of the Weber & Schaer Group.

In partnership with internationally renowned producers, we organize the import and sale of high-grade raw materials for industrial applications in the areas of rubber, plastics and adhesives. We have full-sized storage facilities located at major European transport hubs so that we can supply our customers on time and at any time.

The high quality of every single product in our portfolio is a top priority, so we work together exclusively with certified, reputable manufacturers with whom we usually have a partnership of many years’ standing. We also have our own testing laboratory, which is able to ensure that the products are of impeccable quality. If required, our team of experienced chemists will address the complex problems associated with a specific raw material application and develop customized formulations.

The way we work together at Weber & Schaer is characterized by team spirit, flat hierarchies, communication and transparency. Just as we value the long-standing partnerships we have with our producers, we also appreciate our employees who have been with us for a long time. Excellent expertise, regular training workshops and the targeted monitoring of rapidly changing market developments make us an adept and dependable point of contact – both for manufacturers and for customers.

For many years, the concept of sustainability has been the common thread running through every level of our company and the work we do. In addition to generating our own energy on our buildings and optimizing energy use at all our locations, there is also the effort we invest in obtaining certifications for our natural rubber suppliers. This allows us to supply raw materials from a number of different sources certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes™ (PEFC).

Weber & Schaer is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, FSC® and PEFC and has a gold-medal sustainability rating from EcoVadis. Weber & Schaer is also a member of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR).
